Grade: Senior.

Age: 17.

Art focus: Band.

Memorable fine arts achievement: Making it into Wind Symphony.

Adviser nomination: “Wyatt is a senior bass trombonist in both the Wind Symphony and Jazz Ensemble I. His musical leadership in both ensembles is commendable,” adviser Chris Fogderud said. “He also has a tremendous work ethic and is one of the most dependable students in the band department. He is consistently going above and beyond for band, jazz band and pep band.”

Artist most admired: Trombone Shorty.

Instruments: Bass trombone and tenor trombone.

Ensembles: Wind Symphony, Jazz 1, Brass Band.

Favorite piece you’ve performed: Without a doubt it would be “A Mambo Christmas.”

Favorite genre to play: Jazz.

What first got you interested in music? Many of my family members were once in a school band, so I thought I would give it a try.

What do you enjoy most about the ensembles you’re in? Building friendships and improving as a musician through tedious repetition.

Dream job: Bakery owner.

Favorite movie: “Oppenheimer.”

Favorite TV show: “Reacher.”

Favorite book: “Of Mice and Men” by John Steinbeck.

Favorite musical artist: Post Malone.

Favorite song: “I Had Some Help” by Post Malone.

Favorite subject: History.

Favorite food: Brats.

Hobbies: Cooking, baking, fishing.
