Customers at The Sun Inn in Ulverston will now be greeted with the sight of a spotted leopard, draped over a colourful disco ball and surrounded by large, verdant plants.

Emilia moved back to the Lakes at the end of last summer to start her next venture as a mural artist, painter and interior decorator after working as a freelance prop maker in Manchester.

“Usually my clients come to me wanting help with ideas and visual inspiration and I create design concepts from scratch for them,” Emilia said.

(Image: Emilia Perth Interiors) “However for this particular design my clients at The Sun Inn had a clear idea of what they wanted to achieve with this space, showing me a number of inspiration images they had gathered. I combined these inspiration images in my style to create a design to fulfil their brief.”

Emilia said that this particular piece was so incredibly detailed that it took ten days to complete.

“With all of my murals I draw the design over a photo taken of where the mural is going to be. This way the client gets to see what it would look like before paint touches the wall,” she said.

(Image: Emilia Perth Interiors) “I absolutely loved working on the mural. I have moments throughout the day of how lucky I am to have this as a job.

“I can always see room for improvement in my own work but if my clients are happy, I’m happy. Overall I am very pleased with the outcome of this one.”
