Westfield Specialty International names Mark Benbow to lead new Fine Art & Specie team

Westfield Specialty International, the London-based specialty insurance arm of Westfield, has named Mark Benbow as Head of its newly launched Fine Art and Specie team.

westfield-specialty-logo-2Benbow brings over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, most recently serving more than thirteen years in the fine art and specie underwriting team at AXIS.

Jeremy Shallow, CUO at Westfield Specialty International, added: “Westfield Specialty International is dedicated to investing in top-tier talent as we strengthen our underwriting teams.

“Following significant investment in new products, as well as new and existing staff, we are continuing to power forward with a multi-line build out of our teams.

“Mark arrives with considerable experience in the fine art and specie market, making him a great appointment to drive our expansion in this space. He will lead a growing team of ambitious underwriters to deliver sustainable underwriting success as we continue our long-term growth trajectory.”

This appointment follows the recent additions of Tom Robinson as Senior Underwriter and Lucia Fowler as Underwriter, further strengthening the company’s capabilities in this specialised area.
