Calling all small-business supporters and lovers of fine art and crafts, an annual fair featuring the work of artists and students will return to El Camino College on Tuesday, May 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Maker’s Fair, being held in front of the Arts Complex near the Anthropology Museum, will feature a large variety of items including fine jewelry, pottery, paintings and more for sale.

With over 36 vendor spots available at the event, a diverse range of work and a large attendee turnout from the campus community is expected.

The goal for the event, which is hosted by the Art Gallery and sponsored by the Associated Students Organization, is to help support small businesses and showcase the talented work of ECC students.

“A lot of students have a business on the side, so we are just giving them an opportunity to try to make some money and involve the student body,” Michal Miller, director of gallery and museum programming, said.

Individuals can table at the event and sell work without any fees and at no extra cost.

Submissions are still open to artists and students who want to showcase and sell their work at the fair. The form to sign up is available here.
