INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Tickets for the 2025 Butter Fine Art Fair in Indianapolis are now on sale, promising a vibrant celebration of Black visual artists over Labor Day weekend at The Stutz.

Organized by Ganggang, Butter has become a significant cultural event, offering a platform for Black artists to showcase and sell their work commission-free, allowing them to retain 100% of their profits.

Ganggang founders Mali Jeffers and Alan Bacon emphasize that Butter is about changing the narrative of who is seen, valued, and compensated in the art world.

Now in its fifth year, Butter has established itself not just as an art fair but as a movement advocating for equity and economic justice for Black artists. The fair features immersive exhibits, bold installations, and a unique atmosphere that combines fine art with music and food.

Since its inception in 2021, Butter has attracted over 46,000 attendees and facilitated more than $900,000 in artwork sales. Last year, notable sales included acquisitions by Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers and The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

Artists pay no fee to participate, and guests under 18 can enter the event for free, making it accessible to a wider audience.

Butter runs from Aug. 28 – 31. Ticket prices start at $55.
