Las Terrenas, Samaná.- The Minister of Culture, Roberto Ángel Salcedo, inaugurated the new School of Fine Arts in Las Terrenas, Samaná, during the closing ceremony of a cultural event on Saturday. The school aims to provide music and dance education for children and youth in the region, promoting artistic growth and opportunities.

The ceremony was attended by prominent officials including the Director General of Fine Arts, Marinela Saillent, provincial governor Teodora Mullix Geraldino, mayor Eduardo Esteban, and Senator Pedro Catrain. Their presence underscored a unified commitment to expanding cultural initiatives in the province.

This project is part of a broader national effort to decentralize access to arts education and strengthen cultural development in underserved areas across the Dominican Republic.
