On June 13th, 2025, the picturesque Las Vence Dorcas Gardens in GRA, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, hosted an exceptional event that seamlessly blended the worlds of fine wine and exquisite art. The prestigious Fine Wine and Art Festival, an annual celebration of culture, sophistication, and creativity, was prominently powered by Just Liquor, Nigeria’s fastest-growing liquor outlet and the event planned by George Obadiah Events.

The event was an impressive showcase of some of the finest wines available in Nigeria and beyond. Attendees indulged in delightful tasting sessions of Bella Bellina Wine, Declan Wine, Escudo Rojo Wine, Mimi Kiss, among others guided by Port Harcourt renowned super sommelier and mixologist Darlington Chukwunonso Ani Aka BLONDIE. Each wine offered a unique flavor profile, captivating the palates of connoisseurs and novices alike. The event provided an immersive experience for wine lovers to explore the richness and diversity of premium wines in a vibrant, elegant setting.

Complementing the gourmet wine offerings was a stunning exhibition of local artwork, exclusively displayed by Jerrys Art and ArtByEmeka. These talented home-grown artists from Port Harcourt showcased their masterpieces, reflecting the rich cultural heritage and artistic ingenuity of the region. Their captivating pieces added a visual dimension to the festival, turning the event into a true celebration of Port Harcourt’s vibrant artistic spirit.

Entertainment was a highlight of the festival as well, with an electrifying performance by J Squad, whose dynamic entertainment kept attendees engaged and energized throughout the event. The lively atmosphere was an excellent accompaniment to the refined taste diversions and artistic displays.

Just Liquor, the proud sponsor and organizer of the event, continues to expand its reach across Nigeria, with outlets now established in Lekki, Lagos State; Port Harcourt, Rivers State; Yenagoa, Bayelsa State; and recently opened in Warri, Delta State. Their commitment to providing 100% Authentic beverages and supporting local arts and culture underpins the success of events like this.

Looking ahead, the organizers have announced that the next edition of the Fine Wine and Art Festival will be held in Lagos State, promising to be an even grander celebration of Nigeria’s burgeoning wine culture and artistic talent. The event in Port Harcourt has set a high standard, and anticipation is already building for what’s next.

The 2025 Wine and Art Festival not only offered an evening of refined pleasures but also highlighted Port Harcourt’s thriving cultural scene, embracing the synergy of taste, talent, and entertainment. It was truly a memorable event that showcased the best of Nigeria’s evolving lifestyle and creative industry.
