SaskGalleries is marking a decade of celebrating creativity with the 10th edition of the Art Now Fine Art Fair, running from Oct. 2 to 5 at the Bunge International Trade Centre in Regina, with an online extension from Oct. 3 to 13.

The event, considered the only fair of its kind on the Canadian prairies, features original works from leading Saskatchewan galleries and includes artist talks, demonstrations, curated tours, and interactive spaces for emerging artists. Admission from Oct. 3 to 5 is by donation, ensuring the fair remains accessible to all.

Art Now launches with a ticketed Opening Night Reception on Thursday, Oct. 2, featuring live music, appetizers, door prizes, and early access to artworks. Tickets are $50, or $30 for students and artists.

This year’s fair also showcases Monique Martin’s immersive installation Breathturn, with 25,000 paper butterflies soaring above a prairie meadow floorcloth. A special school tour funded through butterfly sales will allow a class of kindergarten students to experience fine art firsthand.

Joining Art Now is the second edition of Craft Is… Fine Craft Market, presented by the Saskatchewan Craft Council. The market highlights Saskatchewan’s craft community with ceramics, textiles, jewelry, glass, and more.

“Art Now has always been about accessibility, inclusivity, and celebrating the incredible talent we have here in Saskatchewan,” said SaskGalleries Executive Director Kristin Wagman. “Whether you’re discovering fine art for the first time or adding to a collection, Art Now is a space for everyone.”

Participating exhibitors include Assiniboia Gallery, Black Spruce Gallery, Dervilia art + design, The Gallery / art placement inc., The Lobby Gallery, Nouveau Gallery, On the Avenue Art Gallery, Slate Fine Art Gallery, and online showcases from Dandelion Art Framing & Gallery, Hand Wave Gallery, and Hansen-Ross House.
