Derwentwater, known as the “queen of the Lakes”, is home to the world’s biggest colouring pencil – at the Derwent Pencil Museum in Keswick – and is the starting point for this year’s art competition. Stephen Mangan is back on warming hosting duties, as some artists beg for the sunlight to hit the water as they get to work on their paintings. The team are just outside Thetford in Norfolk – on a prospective housing development site that was once home to Queen Boudicca.
