Renowned artist and Guinness World Record holder, Padiki Padi
The Art Peeps, a creative advocacy group dedicated to promoting arts education and career development, marked the 2026 World Art Day with a mentorship visit to the Visual Arts Department of Accra Girls Senior High School.
The highlight of the visit was the presence of Padiki Padi, the Guinness World Record holder for the largest leaf-print painting, who engaged the students in an inspiring and interactive session.
Sharing her journey, Padiki spoke about the discipline, creativity, and resilience required to build a successful career in the arts, encouraging students to see beyond traditional career paths.
The mentorship session was designed to empower the students to pursue visual arts not only as a passion but as a viable and rewarding profession.
Using practical insights and open dialogue, the session sought to expose students to a wide range of opportunities available within the creative industry, including fine art, digital art, media, and entrepreneurship.
The founder of The Art Peeps, Miriam Osei Agyemang, emphasized the importance of nurturing young talent and providing platforms that connect students with industry professionals. She noted that such engagements are crucial in shaping confidence and expanding the horizons of aspiring artistes.
