Swiss soul-pop artist Marius Bear is heading to Singapore for his first-ever performance in the country as part of Swiss Weeks 2026, the biennial cultural festival presented by the Embassy of Switzerland in Singapore.

Best known for representing Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with his ballad ‘Boys Do Cry’, the singer-songwriter will headline Summer Evening with Marius Bear on 16 May at Swiss Club Singapore. The performance is part of the club’s 155th anniversary celebrations and marks a rare opportunity for local fans to catch the Swiss Music Award winner live on Singapore soil.

Marius Bear is set to take the stage at 6:30 PM for an exclusive solo concert, with festivities beginning from noon. The full-day programme includes a Summer Fair with vendor booths, food and beverage stations, interactive game booths, Laser Tag, Harley bike displays, and family-friendly activities including a bouncy castle, slip and slide, candy floss, popcorn, and ice cream. Live band 17FIFTY will also perform throughout the evening.

Born Marius Hügli, the Appenzell-born artist first built his following busking on the streets of Switzerland, New York, and London before studying music production at BIMM Institute in the UK. Since then, he has released his debut EP Sanity, full-length album Not Loud Enough, and newer singles including ‘Waiting for Love’.

Known for his gravelly vocals and emotionally driven songwriting, Marius Bear blends soul, pop, and acoustic influences into a sound that has drawn comparisons to artists like Lewis Capaldi and Matt Corby. His Eurovision entry ‘Boys Do Cry’ introduced him to an international audience, earning praise for its sincerity and vulnerability.

The event also offers a rare chance for the public to enter Swiss Club Singapore, a typically members-only venue tucked within the greenery of Bukit Timah. Entry is priced at S$12 for guests aged six and above, inclusive of a S$10 voucher redeemable at selected booths, while children aged five and below enter free. Food, drinks, games, and activities will be available on a pay-per-use basis.

Festival highlights include culinary showcases, wine masterclasses, sustainability workshops, outdoor experiences, and a special screening of Swiss family film Barry & Me.
