Marquis Who’s Who Honors Jessica de Vreeze for Excellence in Visual Arts and Community Engagement

Jessica de Vreeze is a leader at the intersection of fine art, storytelling and technical innovation, with a focus on exploring human connection and honoring the often-unseen contributions of mothers and women through art.

Her photograph “Keep on Dancing” was selected as a finalist for the Coral Gables Museum centennial exhibition and received induction into its permanent collection and the People’s Choice Award.

MIAMI, FL, May 13, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — Jessica de Vreeze has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

With a creative career spanning more than a decade and marked by innovation, advocacy and international recognition, Mrs. de Vreeze has established herself as a distinctive leading voice in contemporary visual art. She serves as the founder of Unchained Mothering Inc. in Miami, an organization she established in 2022 to highlight the often-invisible contributions of mothers and women through art, storytelling and community engagement. Through this initiative, she has gathered artists from around the world to collaborate on projects that bridge personal narratives and collective experience.

Under Mrs. de Vreeze’s leadership, Unchained Mothering has become known for its dual-format exhibitions combining traditional framed artwork with augmented reality components. She curated exhibitions bringing together artists from around the world across multiple disciplines and directed the documentary If You Would See, which tells the stories of eight mothers. Portions of the project are currently exhibited at Peacock Park in Coconut Grove as part of the area’s first comprehensive free augmented reality art showcase.

In 2023, Mrs. de Vreeze helped establish the Juniorette Club of Coconut Grove, the first youth leadership and community service organization for teenagers aged 12 to 18 in Miami’s Coconut Grove since 1956, promoting leadership and community service, sponsored both by the Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove and Unchained Mothering. As the primary advisor and liaison to the Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove — a 135-year-old institution – she also supported the affiliation of the Juniorette Club of Coconut Grove with the General Federation of Women’s Clubs — she actively participates in board meetings to support the Juniorettes’ mission of empowering girls and boys, reflecting her commitment to supporting the next generation through leadership and community engagement. The same year she also co-founded JDR Atelier in Miami, a local artist collective with whom she exhibited during Art Basel Miami Week at Spectrum Miami.

Since 2018, Mrs. de Vreeze has operated Portrait d’Atmosphère in Miami as a visual artist, focusing on creating unique experiences through fine art photography, painting and multimedia, all characterized by unconventional portraiture that emphasizes detail, light and narrative depth. Known for black-and-white photography with strong contrasts, she utilizes her art to explore themes of cultural diversity and women’s empowerment.

Mrs. de Vreeze began her artistic journey in New York in 2015 under her own name, following her first solo exhibition in Chelsea on May 5, 2016. Her career quickly gained momentum with notable exhibitions at The Old Print Shop in New York, Frame Experience at The Sagamore Hotel South Beach in Miami, The Other Art Fair Los Angeles, The Art Project Pinecrest, the City of Doral’s International Women’s Day exhibition, and a solo exhibition at MIFA (Miami International Fine Arts) in 2026.

A significant milestone in Mrs. de Vreeze’s career came during her tenure as artist-in-residence for the Consulate General of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in New York City. In that capacity, she was invited to attend the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce Gala in New York in 2018 — a prestigious event attended by royalty and high-level officials — following her solo exhibition at the Consulate General of Luxembourg for International Francophonie Day with the United Nations in 2018. Representing the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg during this period remains one of her proudest achievements, alongside the development of public art initiatives promoting acts of kindness and the founding of Unchained Mothering in 2022.

Mrs. de Vreeze’s artistic talents have been recognized by the leading camera and lens manufacturer Leica Camera AG, which has published her photographs on its website multiple times over several years. In 2025, her photograph “Keep on Dancing” was selected as a finalist for the Coral Gables Museum centennial exhibition and received both induction into the museum’s permanent collection and the People’s Choice Award after garnering the most votes from visitors. Additionally, she was named a finalist with honorable mention by the Miami Shoe Museum for Miami Vibe 2.0, the museum’s annual challenge to create an augmented-reality shoe honoring the centennial anniversary of the legendary Cuban artist Celia Cruz. “Wow! You are Amazing” her artwork was also selected for the Bass Museum’s “Night at the Museum” exhibition in Miami Beach. On April 23, 2026, her artwork was acquired by the director of development of the BASS for her personal collection.

Alongside her entrepreneurial endeavors, Mrs. de Vreeze is an active member of American Photographic Artists New York, reflecting her commitment to ongoing professional development within the art realm.

Before embarking on her artistic career, Mrs. de Vreeze practiced law for a decade at the Luxembourg Bar with a focus on corporate and labor law. She began her legal career as a corporate lawyer at Arendt & Medernach from 2004 to 2006 before working at Noble & Scheidecker from 2006 to 2008. She then served as a legal advisor for Sky Broadband SA from 2008 to 2009, during which she managed legal operations for broadband and telephony divisions.

Hailing from an extensive and international academic background, Mrs. de Vreeze earned complementary law studies credentials from the University of Luxembourg in 2004 after completing a postgraduate master’s degree in economics and real estate law from Cercol at Panthéon-Assas University in Paris in 2002. She previously obtained a master’s degree in business law from Panthéon-Assas in 2001, a bachelor’s degree in law in 2000 and a Diplôme d’études universitaires générales (DEUG) or general academic studies degree of law in 1999.

Following her law school achievements, Mrs. de Vreeze was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar as an Avocat à la Cour — the highest designation for lawyers there — after passing examinations in French, German and Luxembourgish.

Reflecting on her journey, Mrs. de Vreeze credits her disciplined approach and attention to detail to her legal training and early experience working on complex international matters, including bilingual contracts and intellectual property licensing. These formative experiences continue to influence both her artistic and entrepreneurial endeavors today, shaping a practice grounded in high standards, curiosity and purpose. Mrs. de Vreeze describes herself as someone who sees art in all things and believes in its power to inspire, unite and transform — an outlook reflected in her approach to both life and work, guided by attention to detail, strong personal values and deep passion.

Born in Paris in 1978 and raised there, Mrs. de Vreeze holds American nationality by birth and today balances her professional commitments with family life alongside her spouse, Menno, and their three children, Lillyster, Jaimie, and Victor. Alongside her longstanding passion for the arts, she enjoys travel, literature and discovering new cultures.

In the coming years, Mrs. de Vreeze aims to expand Unchained Mothering beyond Miami and New York onto national and international platforms while continuing to share stories that honor the contributions of mothers and women through art exhibitions around the world. In parallel with these efforts, her artistic practice explores the relationship between people and places across time and space and the impact they have on one another. While recognizing that differences make individuals unique and enrich society, she is equally interested in revealing the shared human values that connect people through emotion, memory and lived experience. Looking ahead, Mrs. de Vreeze seeks greater inclusion of her work in museum settings and public art projects to further advance both her artistic practice and public impact through art.
