MARION, Iowa — Artists from across the country gathered in Uptown Marion Saturday for the annual Marion Arts Festival, a nationally recognized fine arts event.
The one-day festival featured invited artists displaying paintings, pottery, jewelry, photography, sculpture and other handmade works along Seventh Avenue.
Visitors also enjoyed live music, food vendors and interactive art activities throughout the day.
The festival also featured the annual Empty Bowls fundraiser, where attendees could purchase handmade ceramic bowls created by students and local artists.
Proceeds benefit area food banks and homeless services organizations.
Organizers say the Marion Arts Festival continues to celebrate creativity while supporting artists and local community programs.
