Vaditeq is based at Whitebirk Industrial Estate and delivers custom foam solutions to companies across the UK and Europe.

The company unveiled a new contour cutting machine, by leading German manufacturer Baumer.

The investment aims to elevate the company’s foam cutting technology and create new jobs, said the firm.

The company was founded by Peter Astley in 1997, who recognised foam as a growing market and that foam manufacturers were improving their products. The original business traded as J&A Foam.

Fellow director, Ray Booth, said: “East Lancashire is a vibrant manufacturing hub and we’re continuing to enhance the company’s operations here to increase productivity, efficiency and manage lead times, allocating financial resources to strategic projects.

“It’s a cornerstone of growth and innovation in modern business.”

The ‘OFS222 CNC’ is equipped with an oscillating horizontal cutting knife to create the most precise of cuts and is said to be be an ideal manufacturing tool for converting across a range of high density foams.

Ray added: “The company is shaping its growth trajectory ready for expanding into new markets of foam conversion and these purchases alongside our existing auto-knife and band knife machinery demonstrates our intent to grow our presence.

“Many of our existing customers are successfully growing their own businesses and placing more demand on us; we want to continue to support them on their journey, as a trusted partner for custom foam solutions.”
