A talented art instructor says she is “thriving” and will be hosting a pop-up event in Colchester next month.

Sarah Hill, 55, of Old Heath, is hosting a free-entry art exhibition called Life Lines at The Minories Art Gallery, in High Street, on November 2 and November 3.

Running from 10am to 4pm each day, the event will showcase original art, prints and talent from Sarah’s life drawing group.

Art lovers will be able to chat with the artists and learn more about the pieces of work, have the opportunity to purchase goods, and enjoy a complimentary beverage.

Any purchases made at the event will “support local artists and contribute to the art scene in Colchester”.

Sarah has been an artist for 35 years and studied fine art at the Winchester School of Art, and regularly runs a series of life-drawing classes for paying customers.

During a three-hour session, guests draw different models of all shapes, sizes, and ages, in a calming atmosphere.

Speaking about the exhibition, Sarah said: “I’m very excited about it.

“My life drawing group will be exhibiting their drawings, paintings and selling prints and more.

“They are a very talented bunch of artists.”
