Fiona Robertson’s ‘more than a feeling…’ will run at the venue until June 20.

The artist, who is a part-time lecturer at Glasgow School of Art, said her passion for creating art began when she was a young girl.

She added: “I knew that I wanted to be an artist or an actress.

“I loved Christopher Lee and all of the Hammer Horror films and I used to draw portraits that were all quite theatrical.”

When asked what or who the figures represent, Fiona said: “They are more like an amalgamation of different people or memories, or fragments of the imagination.

“They’re not meant to be one person or a portrait; they’re about emotion and reaction.

“I want them to be accessible and for people to be able to relate to them.

“They are figures and emotions that should be quite recognisable and they’re representative of feelings.

“My intention is much more about experience and about what it feels like to be somewhere.”

She added: “I’ve had a great response from people.

“People are really interested and they’ve asked some really insightful questions.”
