Local artist Margaret Riordan is bringing a splash of colour to a local village post office this month.

She is holding an exhibition of her original artwork at Lympsham village shop and Post Office throughout July.

The exhibition, which runs until July 31st, showcases a selection of Margaret’s oil paintings, acrylics, watercolours, and charcoal sketches — many inspired by local scenes, people, and moments of everyday life.

Visitors can browse her work during the shop’s usual opening hours: 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Saturday (closed Wednesday and Saturday afternoons for lunch).

Entry is free, with free parking available on-site at BS24 0DN.

Margaret, a retired secretary and self-taught artist, has sold her work internationally — with pieces now in homes across the USA, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, France, and Spain.

“I paint for pleasure,” she says. “But I also want to support our lovely village shop and post office by encouraging people to pop in and take a look.”

Following her Lympsham exhibition, Margaret will be showcasing a larger collection of her work at Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Theatre throughout August.
