Lou Barnell, who won the Oram Award, will perform an intimate concert at Full of Noises in Barrow Park on Saturday, September 13.

The audience are being promised an ‘immersive’ experience with the musical performance as Barnell brings her ‘human/cyborg’ storyteller “GINKO” character to Barrow Park.

The performance is being described as part-story, part-rave, ‘part-embodied listening’ meditation.

Joining the bill is Cumbrian artist Amy Clark, who is known for creating experimental work across contemporary performance, experimental theatre, and choreography.

Clark will present ‘float float float away,’ the beginnings of an experimental solo performance.

Originally commissioned and supported by The Knotted Project, this work-in-progress piece was performed at Forge Festival 2025 and has since toured in and around Cumbria.

Initially started as a biennial experimental sound and music festival, Full of Noises (FON’s) first concert took place in the former canteen building of Barrow’s former shipyard, now a submarine plant.

FON now hosts a year-round programme of concerts, workshops, events, films, and family activities from its Piel View House venue in Barrow Park. Tickets for the performance are priced at £5 and can be bought from fonfestival.org.
