It’s too late to update your playlists kids — Spotify Wrapped for 2025 is here to expose all your (musical) secrets. All those nights crying to Taylor Swift? Swearing vengeance alongside Sabrina Carpenter? It’ll all be neatly packaged for everyone to see. Or well, for your eyes only if you don’t — gasp — share it on social media.

While the beauty of this (in)convenient feature is that it can track your metrics and compile individual lists, it also uses its database to declare the most streamed song, artist, album, and podcast of the year, as well as the top ten global artists who’ve garnered billions of streams in the past 365 days. In terms of the latter, an Indian artist is holding court alongside cult names like Bad Bunny, Swift, Drake and Kendrick Lamar. And it’s not Pritam or Diljit Dosanjh…

The global Spotify Wrapped list has ranked Arijit Singh as ninth on its top 10 global artists of 2025. Bollywood’s leading playback singer, who’s been on a spate of international collaborations this year — namely the one with British music icon Ed Sheeran on Sapphire and Dutch DJ Martin Garrix for Angels For Each Other — also remains the most-streamed artist on Spotify in India for the seventh consecutive year. The 38-year-old is followed in this category by Pritam, Shreya Ghoshal, AR Rahman, Anirudh Ravichander, and Sachin-Jigar.

What is the most streamed Indian song of 2025?

As for songs, Spotify Wrapped (in India) has declared Raanjhan by Sachet-Parampara from the film Do Patti as the most-streamed track of the year with over 246 million plays. This is followed by the viral Saiyaara title track by Faheem Abdullah and Arslan Nizami, which (currently) has 300,148,902 streams on the platform.

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ Die With a Smile led the global top songs category, ahead of Billie Eilish’s Birds of a Feather, Rosé and Mars’ APT., Alex Warren’s Ordinary and Bad Bunny’s DtMF.
