From October 28 to November 3, 2024, the O’Parinor shopping center in Aulnay-sous-Bois will be transformed into an interactive museum accessible to all, offering a new way to discover famous works of art, through our senses.

What if you could chat with Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl? That’s what the O’Parinor shopping mall in Aulnay-sous-Bois is offering from October 28 to November 3, 2024, an opportunity to use the school vacations to get some free culture close to home! This fun, immersive experience offers a one-to-one encounter with art icons right in the heart of the shopping center, making art accessible to as many people as possible.

Five great works of art come to life in unusual ways, such as the Jeune Fille à la perle (Girl with a Pearl ), with whom you can chat thanks to AI, asking questions about her, her creator and the period in which she lived, or Marie-Antoinette à la rose, a painting by Elisabeth Vigée-Lebrun that can be rediscovered through the sense of smell and the rose scent that emanates from it, and even the possibility of taking a creative selfie with the sculpture of the Victory of Samothrace!

This unusual interaction with art enables children and adults alike to learn more about artistic trends and well-known works, such as Manet’s Le déjeuner sur l’herbe, which can be listened to here thanks to a soundtrack, giving a new dimension to the painting. Two free workshops are also on offer, featuring jewelry reproduction and origami flower creation, as reminders of the works on display.
