Art on the Green in Hudson: Fine arts festival returns this month

HUDSON, Ohio – The Hudson Society of Artists’ 43rd annual Art on the Green is this month.

The rain-or-shine juried fine arts and crafts show is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 23-24. It takes place at the former Joann headquarters site at 5555 Darrow Road, at the corner of Terex Road and Ohio 91 in Hudson.

The arts fest features the works of more than 145 exhibitors including several new artists. Categories include painting, sculpture, woodworking, jewelry, metalwork, photography, digital art, fiber arts and clothing, ceramics, pottery, glass and more.

Food trucks include Judy & Adam’s (cheese steak and funnel cakes), JGK Concessions (gyros and specialty sandwiches), Pop Culture CLE (gourmet ice-cream creations), Savannah’s Kettle Corn

and Hometown Beverages (gourmet coffee, handcrafted lattes, hot and cold drinks).

Admission and parking are free.

Next year, Art on the Green will shift venues to Hudson’s historic downtown greens. It is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Aug 29-30, on the Clocktower, Gazebo, First & Main and Park Lane greens.
