Classic Art London: A New Event Celebrating Traditional Art

Classic Art London, taking place from 23 June to 4 July 2025, is a major new destination event for collectors, museum buyers, and art lovers interested in traditional genres. Leading galleries will present selling exhibitions of old and modern masterworks, alongside a talks and events series.




Old Masters & Rediscoveries

Highlights include:

  • Titian’s rediscovered Madonna and Child with St. Mary Magdalene, showcased by Trinity Fine Art for the first time in London.
  • Charles Beddington Ltd’s exhibition on 19th-century Venetian art, featuring works such as Carlo Grubacs’ depiction of Emperor Ferdinand I’s celebrations.
  • Miniature portraits exhibited by The Limner Company, alongside a major collection of British watercolours at Guy Peppiatt Fine Art.
  • Works by artist-traveller Constance Gordon-Cumming, known for her adventurous landscapes, will be displayed by Karen Taylor Fine Art.

Modern Masters & Impressionism

Major exhibitions include:

  • Paul Nash’s visionary landscapes at Daniel Katz Gallery.

  • Cubist works from outside traditional artistic centres, presented by Ben Elwes Fine Art.

  • British and European Impressionists, including Degas, Renoir, and Dorothea Sharp, featured at Haynes Fine Art and David Messum Fine Art.

 

Talks & Events

Classic Art London offers engaging discussions, including:

  • Museum Monday, featuring talks on climate change in institutions, shared ownership, and the legacy of J.M.W. Turner.
  • Women Artists and the Art Market, hosted by Colnaghi.
  • Country Life’s entertaining panel on “The Piece I Couldn’t Part With,” chaired by Vanity Fair contributor Patrick Monaghan.
