She has always shown a strong commitment to improving her own skills and to helping improve the quality of the ensemble. The orchestra program also values her supportive, inclusive attitude toward her fellow musicians,” adviser Leslie Zander said.
Proudest fine arts achievement: Playing in the honors orchestra last year.
What got you interested in playing the violin? In sixth grade, I loved the high pitches and elegance of the violin.
Favorite piece you’ve performed: “1812 Overture” by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
What do you enjoy most about being in orchestra? Getting to make music and connect with new people every year.
