May and June are the start of the art degree show season. It is an opportunity to see the brightest and newest talent as they showcase their final submitted works. These exhibitions have a good track record of launching new talent and are often the first step for emerging artists. They are also a great way to stay updated on current and future trends in contemporary arts. Visual art students get to showcase the work that formed the basis of their degrees to the public. The shows are always interesting and cover a wide range of media including painting, sculpture, print, photography, video, performance art, multi-media, interdisciplinary art, ceramics, and textiles, using a variety of materials and subjects.
