London Visual Art Charity ‘Art For All’ Holds Online Fundraising Auction

Mall Galleries led by artists are holding an online fundraising auction from October 7th to 13th, which features over 200 original artworks from award-winning members of the the Federation of British Artists.

Mall galleries have released a list of contributing artists, but the artworks will remain anonymous until the auction ends on October 13th at 6pm. 

“Art for All presents an incredible opportunity for collectors and art lovers to get their hands on some of the very best figurative art, at truly competitive prices. For a minimal investment, these small works, by renowned and emerging artists alike will bring warmth and soul into your home and have the potential to appreciate in value over time,” said Art For All CEO, Clare O’Brien. 

Mall Galleries’ primary focus is on figurative art, and pride themselves in their mission to support and empower through their not-for-profit programmes, which hold events, awards grants prizes. 

The gallery, which opened in 1961, lies between Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square. It offers 450 square metres of space which they also offer as an exhibition space to artists looking to hold events and allow potential buyers to experience their art first-hand.

 They also offer art consultancy services which specialise in expert advice, artist liaison, and curating fine art for interior designers, private collectors and investors. Mall Galleries exhibitions, which on average  take place 25 times a year, annually earn approximately £500,00 in sales for their contributing artists.

“Today, each society is regarded as a highly significant flagship for the art forms they champion. Let’s raise our glasses, brushes and palettes to the societies and the Federation of British Artists,” said Mall Galleries curator, Anthony J Lester.  

Bidding begins at a minimum £40 for works on paper or card, and at £50 for canvas or board pieces, sculptures, and larger works. Additionally, bids on various unique experiences starting at just £10, and donations of £5 can be made for a chance to win a handmade tote bag.

The fundraiser is supported by Art for Youth, British Academy, Discerning Eye, Raw Umber Studios, Susan Redgrift, Winsor & Newton and the World Food Photography Awards. 

Chris Aggs RBA is a contributing artist who is well known in the British contemporary art scene  for his vibrant mixed media techniques, and is a member of the Royal Society of British Artists. Aggs is a realist painter and printmaker who works from direct first hand experience, and believes that the world provides more inspiration than can be imagined.

Other contributors such as David Allen and Carry Akroyd are known for their contributions to wildlife art. Allen specialises in marine inspired artwork, pulling inspiration from his work as a professional diver through his explorations of historic UK wrecks.

Art for All’s auction offers a unique online-only chance for art enthusiasts to get their hands on original figurative pieces at once-off prices, while supporting British artists.
