Cricket Fine Art is delighted to announce an exhibition of recent works by Katharine Edwards, opening in September. This will be the artist’s first exhibition with the gallery after joining in 2021.

Featuring over 30 large works on canvas, and a number of smaller works on paper, the exhibition highlights Edwards’ affinity with Italy and Spain. With a particular emphasis on pattern and colour, subjects include the iconic pine trees of Rome, eagles soaring over the Andalusian plains, olive trees, Mediterranean vistas and more.

The gallery is open from Monday to Friday, 10am – 6pm, Saturday, 10am – 5pm, or by appointment.

Biography (b. 1963)

Katharine Edwards studied at St Martin’s School of Art and École des Beaux-Art, Paris (1985) where she was taught life drawing and painting under Vladimir Veličković. An early artistic influence was her paternal grandfather Ralph Edwards, Keeper of Woodwork at the V&A (1937-1954) and later a family friend, Kyffin Williams RA.

Edwards’ work is held in many private collections in Europe, America, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. She was commissioned to produce two drawings for The National Museum of Wales, and has shown work at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (2024)
