(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College is inviting the public to their fundraising event, ILLUMINATE. Hosted by the Fine Arts Center Foundation Board of Directors, the event aims not only to highlight the Fine Arts Center and its artists but also to support the center with a night of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live music, and more.

ILLUMINATE will also coincide with the opening of Gathering Place, marking the first reinstallation of the Colorado Fine Arts Center’s permanent collection galleries in nearly 10 years. ILLUMINATE guests will get an exclusive inside look at the new exhibition, including a special performance of art creation, Scriptorum con safos: Gathering Place, by co-curator Josh T. Franco.

The gathering will also feature live pop-up performances from Latin, jazz, and classical quartet, Solo Amigos, as well as live art demonstrations by Bemis School of Art instructors and Colorado College students.

VIP tickets are sold out, but the Fine Arts Center still has guest and Radiance tier tickets for $85 and $100 for sale, respectively. While the guest ticket only offers entrance to the event, the Radiance tier includes a drink ticket for an alcoholic beverage and a commissioned art piece, along with admission. Visit the events FAQ page for more information about dress code, parking, and more details.

Doors open for ILLUMINATE: Lighting the Way for the Arts at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 30 West Dale Street. So, make sure to grab a ticket now and help support Colorado Springs’ local art!
