The National Arts Club (NAC) is thrilled to launch its 2024–2025 exhibition season with Jazz Greats | Classic Photographs from the Bank of America Collection. Loaned through the Bank of America Art in Our Communities® program, the show includes 33 photographs by 14 photographers spanning from the 1920s to the 1980s. From Billie Holiday to Louis Armstrong, it features snapshots of legendary figures and everyday people during a vibrant era of American art, music, and dance. Notably, the exhibition includes a photograph by Gordon Parks, who received the NAC’s Medal of Honor for Photography in 1997 and whose portrait, painted by Gloria Vanderbilt, now hangs in the club’s parlors.

This will be the third collaboration between the National Arts Club and Bank of America, following last year’s exhibition In a New Light: American Impressionism 1870–1940, and 2021’s Andy Warhol Portfolios: A Life in Pop.

Founded in 1898, the mission of the National Arts Club is to stimulate, foster, and promote public interest in the arts and educate the American people in the fine arts. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and offer over 150 free public programs annually, including exhibitions, theatrical and musical performances, lectures, and readings, attracting an audience of over 25,000 New Yorkers and visitors alike. Feature programs focus on all disciplines of the arts.
