VESTAL, N.Y. (WBNG) — Stilletos Fine Arts Studio is helping children with disabilities grow past societal labels. The Beyond the Spectrum Art Program helps children express themselves through painting.

The studio’s founder, Rebecca Whitman, a mom of two children with special needs, said the program was founded to help kids like hers.

Whitman said her students emerged from their shells and blossomed through the program.

“Those are all my favorite parts: to see someone be able to prove the world wrong that they can’t do things. And they all started using art to do so,” said Whitman.

For more information, follow this link to the studio’s website.
