Art Bridges Supports Museums Nationwide

Most American art lives in storage. Many museums, especially those in underserved regions, don’t have the resources to borrow or lend works. That’s where Art Bridges comes in.

What We Do

By partnering with museums across the United States, Art Bridges breaks down barriers to sharing, borrowing, and exhibiting artworks, ensuring that communities across the nation have access to American art.

Designed to get art out of storage and share these works with the public, we offer a variety of programs that provide strategic and financial support to institutions that don’t have deep acquisition funds or extensive holdings of American art.

  • The Partner Loan Network is an art-sharing initiative that fosters long-term collaborations between museums, allowing for collections to circulate across the country.
  • Our Traveling Exhibitions program helps smaller museums showcase curated shows from larger institutions, expanding their reach to local audiences.
  • Loans from the Art Bridges Collection ensure diverse works of American art are available at no cost to borrowers.
