One of the key highlights of the Spotify-era at Barcelona has been the special jerseys the team wears when playing against their arch-rival, Real Madrid.
The jerseys often feature a popular artist as part of Spotify’s promotion campaign, with Barcelona donning kits featuring the likes of Travis Scott, Taylor Swift, The Rolling Stones and Drake in the past.

Now, although the next Clasico is more than a month away, reports have already started flooding in about the next great artist featuring on the Barcelona jersey this season.
Ed Sheeran to feature on Barcelona kit
According to RAC1, Ed Sheeran is poised to become the next artist featured on Barcelona’s shirts as they take on Real Madrid later this season.
The English singer-songwriter was expected to feature on Barcelona’s kits earlier in the year, but the move did not materialise.

But following the launch of his new album ‘Play’, Sheeran is all set to become the next artist to feature on Barcelona kits.

Preparations for the campaign are already underway, with promotional material being produced to mark the occasion.
The match will be played at the Santiago Bernabeu on October 26, giving Sheeran’s branding global exposure during one of the most-watched fixtures in football.
As mentioned earlier, Barcelona have made it a tradition to showcase international stars on their kits in Clasicos since signing their sponsorship deal with Spotify.
So far, the balance stands at three wins and three losses when wearing special-edition kits. With Ed Sheeran’s turn up next, fans will be hoping he tips the scales in Barcelona’s favour.
