The Board of Directors of the 69th Annual Fine Arts Fiesta reminds regional student artists, professional artists and craftspeople, and food vendors of the upcoming deadlines to submit entries or applications for this year’s student poster contest, to be a vendor in the Yellow Zinnia Artists’ Market or a food vendor for the 2025 Fine Arts Fiesta. The 2025 Fiesta, themed “Listen to Your Art,” runs May 15, 16, 17, and 19th on Public Square in downtown Wilkes-Barre.
Yellow Zinnia Artists’ Market: The juried Yellow Zinnia Artists’ Market is open to all artists and craftspeople 18-years of age and older who create original work. No commercial molds, kit objects, decoupage, pre-manufactured components, etc. will be considered. Jurors and the Fine Arts Fiesta reserve the right to determine the eligibility of all objects submitted for jurying. Artists and craftspeople invited to participate in the Yellow Zinnia Artists’ Market are required to pay an exhibition fee and as well as a municipal license fee. Student Poster Contest: Students currently enrolled in any elementary, junior or senior high school (grades 3 through 12) within Luzerne County are eligible. The student entry must be the original work of the student. Entry must be submitted on 12” x 18”. firm white paper or poster board. Color presentations are preferred but not required; 3 color maximum. Only marker, paint and ink are acceptable. Computer generated images and artwork are permitted, but may not include any mass-produced, mass-published, pre-designed or clip art images. Words should not be included in the work. Food Vendors: All bids must include a full food and beverage menu and prices, linear foot bid (all bids begin at $25.00 per linear foot, minimum of 10’ frontal), description of the food vendor stand and a photograph of approximately how it will appear. The Fine Arts Fiesta reserves the right to accept or reject any-and-all bids. No distinction will be made between profit or not-for-profit vendors. Deadline for bids is April 10, 2025. The Fine Arts Fiesta is one of the longest-running arts festivals in Pennsylvania. More than 50,000 people attend the four-day free event in downtown Wilkes-Barre.
