A Falkirk artist not only had her work selected for a prestigious London exhibition it has also now been named as the “outstanding” entry from Scotland.
Jade Stout, who was born in Orkney, but now lives and works in Falkirk, will have her work displayed in the prestigious ING Discerning Eye exhibition which opens in London this month.
While the judges did not award her the £5000 top prize, she did impress them enough receive the Scottish regional outstanding entry award.
‘It’s not the £5000 top prize, but its still amazing,” said Jade, on learning of her award. “And it’s a fantastic opportunity to have my work shown alongside artists from all over the country in a prestigious London venue.”


The ING Discerning Eye exhibition will take place at the Mall Galleries in London from November 14 to November 23.
It is curated by selectors including artist Curtis Holder, journalist Rosie Millard and museum director Dr Chris Stephens.
