Hands-on fine art printing workshops in June

Epson and Kayell Australia have organised four fine art printing workshops, which will run concurrently with the Epson International Pano Awards Exhibition in the Sydney Botanic Gardens on 4 and 5 June.

Delivered by specialist staff from Epson and Kayell Australia, each workshop is designed to provide practical, real-world experience in producing exhibition-quality prints from participants’ own images. Each participant will work on a Macintosh computer connected to an Eizo ColorEdge monitor and an Epson Surecolor A2 P906 Desktop Printer using state-of-the-art printer profiles, and a curated selection of Epson premium fine art papers. The focus will be entirely on fine art inkjet printing — understanding paper selection, colour management workflows and how to achieve the best possible print results from your finished files. Image preparation and editing techniques will not be included and participants will be expected to bring their images ready to print in JPEG, TIFF or PSD format.

The fee for each session is AU$110 per person and all sessions will be held in the Robert Brown Building Gadi Seminar Rooms, which is accessed via the Reception Gate (Gate S) on Mrs Macquarie’s Road Sydney. Each session normally runs for two hours and two sessions have been planned for each day: Thursday 4th June 11.30am and 2:30pm and Friday 5th June 9.00am and 11.30am. (Click on the links for more information on each session.) Early registration is recommended as these workshops have a maximum class size of 12 people and are popular so they normally sell out in days.
