Grade: Sophomore.

Age: 16.

Art focus: Pottery.

Memorable arts achievement: Being nominated as fine arts student of the week for pottery as well as digital photography.

Adviser nomination: “Jace continues to give his time to each project so that a high level of craftsmanship is achieved for each piece that he creates,” adviser Rick Jensen said. “Thank you for your attention to detail and quality work. Keep it up in all that you do.”

What drew you to pottery? Being able to create pieces of art by hand, as well as having an interest in doing hands-on things.

Where do you get inspiration for your work? Most of my work is inspired by simply my imagination or nature.

What’s your favorite kind of piece to make? My favorite types of pieces to make are sculptural pieces.

Which project are you most proud of? I am most proud of my wheel-thrown bowl due to being so intricate, taking a lot of time, being functional as well as creative.

Artist most admired: Lucie Rie.

Dream job: Commercial/cargo pilot.

Extracurricular activities: Football, downhill skiing, tennis.

Favorite movie: “Fury.”

Favorite TV show: “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”

Favorite song: “The Ballad of Boot Hill” by Johnny Cash.

Favorite band/musician: Frank Sinatra.

Favorite food: Fried fish or chicken alfredo.

Hobbies: Fishing, RC cars and planes, freeskiing and snowboarding, weightlifting.
